Deepwood Publishing is a small fantasy and science fiction imprint, focused around anthologies, novels, and novellas. Currently, we are working on the projects listed below.

Bloodaxe is AVAILABLE and FREE to Amazon Prime members!

The Four Part Land by James Tallett
The Four Part Land is a world that houses two different fantasy series, as well as a collection of short stories. Three novels are underway, and we published the first, Tarranau, in late July. In Sept, we published the ebook novella Breaking an Empire. Set four hundred years before the start of Tarranau, this novella details an ancient war that created the politics and the conditions seen in Tarranau. Upcoming titles in the series include Chloddio, Læccan Waters and the story collection Unfolding a New Continent.

Splintered Lands, Anthology
Splintered Lands is a shared world fantasy anthology. Created by four different writers over the course of several months, Splintered Lands is full of kingdoms born anew, struggling to pull themselves out of a magical and natural apocalypse. Submissions are open for this anthology, and we look forward to seeing fresh stories.

Celadonian Tales Vol 1: Blood and Brass by Walter Shuler
CTV1: Blood and Brass is a collection of fantasy short stories that center on the city of Celadon. Each story explores a different aspect of the city’s history, the character of its inhabitants, both noble and commoner, and the darkness that lies hidden within the city’s twisting lanes, sprawling palaces and the secret hearts of those who call it home. The book will contain four short stories: Beneath the Stone, The Clockwork Men, Behind the Red Door and The Kindness of Strangers.

Ancient New, Anthology
Ancient New is an anthology of opposites, of strange collaboration between new technology and ancient societies. Perhaps chemistry is highly advanced and rockets are commonplace, but electricity was never invented. Perhaps steam engines exist, but are used to replace horses in chariot battles between archers. All of these are possibilities in Ancient New. Submissions are open, and we’d love to see what you can come up with.
